Island District will hold an Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) course on Friday-Saturday, May 5-6, 2017, at the Island District Camporee at Joseph Whidbey State Park . This training will give you the hands on practical outdoor skills needed to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. You will learn how to teach Scouts the skills they must learn from Tenderfoot through First Class and includes such areas as woods tools, map and compass, ropes, cooking, plant and animal identification, campfires, camping and hiking. It is a 2-day overnight course.
