Fire Mountain Scout Camp is owned and operated by the Mount Baker Council of Scouting America, as such falls under the authority of the Mount Baker Council Executive Board and management of the Mount Baker Council Scout Executive.

With the adoption of the 2024 Fire Mountain Road Map Master Plan a Camp Steering Committee was formed under the leadership of the Fire Mountain Key 3 to handle the strategic planning as well as day to day leadership of the camp property, its program and development responsible to the Council leadership.

The FM Key 3 consists of the MBC Vice President of Outdoor Program, Vice President of Properties and the Council Director of Outdoor Program who also serves as the Fire Mountain Camp Director.
