At Fire Mountain we host a number of Outdoor Leader Trainings each year. These trainings are meant to help you as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America to be successful in delivering a safe but also fun adventure to the scouts in your unit.
Outdoor Leader Training helps leaders gain confidence in their ability—through hands-on, practical application of skills and proven methods—to influence growth in positive ways to achieve the purposes of the Boy Scouts of America.
Fire Mountain works to either host or facilitate the following trainings through out the year:
Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation: A Cub Scout leader level training required to be done by at least one adult leader on ALL pack overnight campouts. Learn More HERE.
Introduction to Outdoor Leaders Skills: This training gives new Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters a taste of not only outdoor skills but HOW to teach these skills to patrols in their troops. Learn more HERE.
Wilderness First Aid is a vital skill for any backcountry travel. It is highly recommended by the BSA and required by many high adventure camps that you have at least 2 or 3 people in your crew trained and current in Wilderness First Aid. Learn more HERE.
