The Digital Technology Merit Badge Emblem signifies a scout who has considerable skill and knowledge with technology. A scout must, among other requirements, explain the history of digital technology, describe compression techniques, and understand how digital devices connect to the internet. This Merit badge is not a requirement to become an Eagle Scout. Merit Badges are awarded to Scouts who complete the requirements for each badge.
